The Alabama Emergency Management Agency has moved the potential storm timeline up to 1:00 pm today. We will now dismiss at 11:30 am to give our buses time to run routes safely. Alabama Parent Education Center presents Raising the Standards Conference April 8-11, 2024. It is a statewide virtual conference for families of children with disabilities, educators, and professionals. Session topics range from Early Intervention to anxiety to healthcare to transition and more. Challenging Behavior Basics April 16th from 3:30-4:30 in the HES Library Holly Sharpe, BCBA, will provide parents with strategies and information relating to challenging behaviors. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers during the session.

These monthly sessions are for families to connect with and learn from each other about the joys, challenges, and adventures of raising children with visual impairments and blindness. Haleyville Elementary's First Class PK drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6th at 10:15 AM. 18 students will be drawn from those preregistered through the state site. Students drawn will be contacted via phone by Friday.
