Having so much fun in science class in Ms. Reed’s class!!

Due to increasing numbers of teachers and staff who are either COVID positive, experiencing symptoms, or exposed, we have made the decision for Haleyville Elementary to be Virtual Wednesday, January 19th-Friday, January 21st. We simply do not have enough staff to cover all of our classes. We feel it is important for us to attempt to stop any further spread at HES by taking time to deep clean and disinfect our buildings over the next few days.
HES students will be given the devices and information they need today so that they can learn over the next 3 days from home. If you experience any trouble with online learning, your teachers will be on campus. You can call HES, and they will get back with you as soon as possible.
As a district, Haleyville City Schools are still under 3% COVID positive, which is not too bad. HMS and HHS will continue on their normal schedules Wednesday-Friday. We have low numbers of positives in these buildings and feel that in-person learning is best if at all possible. We will do another OneCall and post on social media if anything changes.
As always, student safety is our top priority. Please Share! #HCSSLI

Haleyville City Schools will be closed Monday, January 17th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students will return on January 18th. #HCSSLI
