HES Vocabulary Parade Students at HES have been learning 3 new vocabulary words per week as a school body. We celebrated all of our vocabulary words with the first Vocabulary Parade of the year!

Literacy Night is coming up!

No pep rally check-outs on Friday, September 25th.

To make the check-out process easier, your student will bring home a form to fill out today! Please return the completed form so we can put your student on the list for check-out. If your student is not on the list you will have a longer wait time! Check-outs before 12:00pm for the parade will be counted as unexcused. Parents cannot enter the building to check your student out until 12:00pm.

EL Parent Night is Friday, September 18th at 4:30pm.

We are celebrating International Dot Day at HES on Tuesday Sept. 15th. Our students have already created art work to share. International Dot Day is a time to celebrate creativity, courage, and collaboration. Thank you Mrs. Raffel!

Mrs. Cindy Taylor-HES Math Specialist- Explicit Tier ll Small Group Instruction reteaching rounding using number lines and benchmarks Mrs. Wates-HES Reading Specialist- Explicit Whole Group Instruction with decoding and encoding words with consonant digraphs, trigraphs and combinations in 2nd grade classroom.
