We are excited about our students returning on Wednesday! #OnAMission #HomeOfChampions

As the temperatures drop significantly over the next few weeks, we’re mindful of the challenges some of our students may face staying warm, especially those without coats, socks, or warm blankets at home. While we can’t solve every issue, we are working to pull together resources to assist where we can.
If your child needs a gently used coat, warm socks, or a gently used blanket, please send a private message through Facebook to the school your child attends (HHS, HMS, or HES) or call your student's school on Tuesday with the specific need and size. We need these requests by Tuesday at 3:00 pm. We will do our very best to meet as many needs as possible by Thursday or Friday, but please understand that we cannot guarantee every request will be fulfilled.
We know many in our community will read this post and want to help. If you are so led, we will take monetary donations to our PTO at each school Tuesday and Wednesday to purchase needed items.
Student safety is our top priority in Haleyville City Schools. Please share. #OnAMission #HomeOfChampions

The Alabama State Department of Education released the 2023-2024 school report card today. Haleyville City Schools is proud to announce that our district received an A. The report card consists of the categories of Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, Chronic Absenteeism, College and Career Ready, Graduation Rate, and our English Language Learner Proficiency Progress. Haleyville City Schools had near perfect scores in 5 of the 6 indicators. This is due to the hard work and dedication of our entire staff. Every single employee of our district is vital to the success of our students. In Haleyville City Schools, we are on a mission to provide all students the best educational and extracurricular opportunities possible. An A on the Alabama State Department of Education’s Report Card is one indicator that we are moving toward accomplishing this mission in our schools. #OnAMission #HomeOfChampions
The Haleyville City Schools Board of Education proudly extends our sincere congratulations to each employee who contributed to our school system earning an “A” on the 2023-24 State Report Card. Since the State Department of Education began the report card system in the 2016-17 school year using multiple indicators, we have worked diligently to reach this level. It took everyone working together to achieve this milestone and we hope to maintain this level in the future. Again, congratulations to each of you who made this happen!
